My Honour
Three one-act plays from different countries:
Sunday Costs Five Pesos by Josephina Niggli
Life
of Hercules: Page One by Thomas Cruden
Susannah and the Welsh Elders by Margaret Wood
- The Mexican Play: There is an old
Mexican law which says that a woman who starts a fight on a Sunday must pay
five pesos. But sometimes - just sometimes, even five pesos isn't too high a
price to pay....
- The Greek Play: Set on the
terrace outside Amphitryon's house, about the year 400 BC
- The Welsh Play: Set in a small
Welsh town - Tregoyd. The action takes place outside the new Lido and inside
the Tregoyd Chapel during the 1920s, before the permissive society.
